English Version

This post is almost a small footnote, but, long time no see, dear

The website was somewhat neglected in 2025 because, fortunately or not, I was busy with other projects that didn’t really make me feel it was worth updating before the end of that year. 2024 and 2025 were incredibly busy years: I did a residency in Paris (and canceled one for Nepal), finished my master’s degree and published a dissertation book, wrote a fiction, made, exhibited and donated a series of works within a FAPESP scientific journalism grant III – let’s breathe – within this grant, 27 works were written on scientific dissemination, I made a huge panel and several smaller paintings throughout the year including “Tales of Infinity”, “Senses (Questions and Answers)” and “La Cadence de la Liberté”, in addition to having participated in an art history podcast (If you want to listen, it’s the Duchamp episode from Season 3 of Joe Mclaughlin’s Art History Podcast https://www.josarthistory.com/podcast ) and started two series that will still be finished this year… Four articles still to be finished this year, ah! Anyway. You know, I’m absolutely nihilistic about everything, and I only realize that “so much happened” because spreadsheets, calendars, and documents record it all. Not to mention the start of my PhD in Montreal at the end of 2025. I remembered, I also participated in a biennial!

Anyway, what I really want to say is that I updated the website precisely so these things are recorded. Not everything has been updated, but the section on the works from CEPID – Neuromat and the 27 texts I wrote in this text are now in the “Writings” section, along with links to the last two books published in these years, plus some information about the release of “The Lion and the Unicorn.” The theme is blue, like the painting “Nova” (header of this post). The works from the series I did during my residency in Paris are also available under “Contemporary Art > Paintings > Platitudinous Bizarreness – Dreaming.” I invite you to listen to Jo’s podcast on any platform listed on her website. Remember, I’m currently on season 3; just look for me there, “Vannie Gama.” The articles on the CEPID – Neuromat science dissemination blog are also texts that I recommend, not only mine but also those of my colleagues. Also, I should also check out the works created during this period, although, as always, the parallel, smaller ones, like “Magie, Émerald!” and even “Sentidos (Perguntas e Respostas)” (Senses (Questions and Answers), need updating.

Regarding exhibitions, honestly, this year I’ve already had the works from this year’s series, “Behind Time,” on display – so it’s not my main worry. And, in a way, two books published, in addition to the wealth of texts. In theory, the “Astropoética” series was supposed to be on display, but, to no one’s surprise, the series has become larger and more complex, meaning it will become a series for the first half of the following year, either in Montreal, Buenos Aires, or Brazil, depending on the cultural center that accepts them and the calendar of these institutions. The last series to be exhibited in 2025 will likely be “Les Gestes,” which is another series of four pieces, but it will be a quick one-day exhibition in Montreal, at least this year. Regarding communications, my email remains the same: va***************@***il.com. If you’d like, please respond directly or make any suggestions, or just send me any vegetarian/vegan recipes you know, or a poem, or some discomfort, or some music—even original ones.

Thank you for being with me for another year.
